You know how important it is to have your office technology run smoothly, but you might not be able to afford to pay a full-fledged IT staff. Fortunately, this is not an all-or-nothing situation: you have a range of alternatives to choose from.

THE BLOCK OF TIME

About The Block Of Time

The Block Of Time can be used for any of the services provided by HNS (Home Network Services). It covers everything from planning and installation, to on-going support.  It is a simple and flexible approach to obtaining professional computer services, no matter what you might need.

Advantages

Unlike typical support contracts, the Block Of Time can be applied toward a wide variety of services over an unspecified period of time. There is no "use it or lose it" deadline, nor are they any terms that limit its use to certain types of services or products. All of the services provided by HNS (Home Network Services) can be billed against the Block Of Time. If more time is needed than was initially contracted for, an additional Block Of Time can be purchased at the same discounted rate.

Time is accurately tracked for each use of the Block Of Time, and you receive a statement for each support activity, indicating the type of service performed, the amount of time used, and the time remaining under the current contract.

Cost

A Block Of Time is sold in 10-hour increments. You get a 20% discount off our hourly rate if you buy one or more blocks. This lowers the hourly rate to $88 per hour or a savings of $22 per hour. One Block Of Time Costs $880.

Hours bought on the Block Of Time plan can also be used to cover URGENT (4-hour response time) or mission-critical EMERGENCY (2-hour response time) support calls, along with Standard non-critical calls. Hours will be deducted from the Block Of Time in relation to the response-time requested: Urgent responses are billed at time-and-a-half rates; Emergency responses are billed at double-time. Customers are not charged at the higher rate if the response-time is quicker than requested.

Hourly rates pricing applies to normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM- 6:00 PM. Activities before 8:30 AM and after 6:00 PM, weekdays, will be billed at 1.5 hours per worked. Work performed on Saturday will at double time, work performed on Sunday & Holidays will be billed at triple time. Each on-site service call will be assessed time for trip charge (0.25 or 0.5 hours of standard rate, depends of your location).

THE COMPUTER MAINTENANCE PLAN

What does a Maintenance Plan include:

  • One visit per quarter to check the computer system, clean and maintain the Computer and accessories.
  • Check for viruses and spyware and firewall protection
  • Check to ensure that windows and antivirus programs are up to date
  • Check to ensure that backups are being performed and that data can be restored
  • Check hard drive space availability
  • Ensuring that temporary files are cleared
  • Forward planning of maintenance visits to prevent time conflicts with what you or your staff is doing.
  • Advance reminders of maintenance visits.
  • One Free Emergency call out per month with response time within 2 hours during business hours (non accumulative). If our Technician is unable to repair on-site within 1 hour, the machine is returned to our workshop for repair. You normally pay business standard support rate for hours worked.
  • Free pick up and return of equipment.
  • One single call to Impress Computers is all it needs to ensure prompt service.

Maintenance Contracts are available costing less than $30 per PC per month. The more computers, the cheaper it is.

BILLING AND PAYMENT POLICIES

GENERAL POLICY:

HNS (Home Network Services) mainly works with signed contracts to insure mutual understanding and confidence.  For system support on a call-out, adhoc basis the invoice is due immediately after we finish the work.

INVOICES:

HNS (Home Network Services) submits invoices to clients at 15 day intervals unless the project has been completed, in which case the invoice may be submitted to the client prior to 15 days. Once a contracted body of work is completed, the billing rate will revert to the standard consulting rate.
